While working on a Minecraft-like scene in Blender, I ran into a problem. Parts of my scene would disappear whenever I zoomed out in the camera view.

The Problem
As I zoomed out in my default scene, sections of my model would suddenly vanish from view. So, what was going on? Blender was clipping objects that had moved beyond the camera’s viewing distance.
There’s 2 places where clipping occurs (at least for the problem I was having). 1) The viewport, and 2) the camera. My problem was with the camera view, but we should fix the viewport as well.
The Viewport Fix
As you zoom out in the 3D viewport, Blender stops drawing objects that are too close or too far from the viewport camera.
To fix it:
- Press N in the 3D Viewport to open the sidebar.
- Go to the View tab.
- Under View, find:
- Clip Start
- Clip End
- Increase Clip End.

For example:
| Setting | Typical Value |
|---|---|
| Clip Start | 0.01m |
| End | 1000m or 10000m |
Now for my actual problem…
Camera Clipping – The Fix
If the issue only occurs when looking through the actual camera (Numpad 0), then it’s the camera’s clipping settings.
Select the camera and go to:
Camera Properties → Clipping
You’ll see:
- Start
- End
Increase the End value. (This fixed it for me).
Example:
| Setting | Typical Value |
|---|---|
| Clip Start | 0.01m |
| End | 1000m |

In Conclusion
Just changing the clipping values fixed the problem for me. Pretty simple, huh? I thought I would share that with anyone who is having the same problem. Hope it helps you.
